What are you most looking forward to in your new position?
“That would be to join an experienced team of researchers who are working on very innovative and interesting projects. I am excited to learn and expand my knowledge and to bring my experiences to the work at AIMES”.
You have a long working experience in the field of course.
What important insights and experiences do you bring to the team?
“Working as a lab manager in three different countries in very international work environment, in addition to several years of research work, taught me the significance of effective collaborations and a strong team-work spirit. I am ready to apply this in my new position.
I am also looking forwards to contribute with my hands-on laboratory skills, from several years of work in medical laboratory and research centers. In addition to my experiences working with molecular biology, immunology, and microbiology techniques. I think my experience working with Confocal microscopy and image analysis (IMARIS software), Cell culture, and flow cytometry would be helpful”.
To start a new position and such a significant one also can be demanding and stressful at times. I finally wonder of course:
What do you do to relax?
“I enjoy doing sports. Especially volleyball, football, and badminton. I have been playing volleyball for several years and used to practice with Stockholm Students’ Sports Club (SSIF) in Stockholm. I am looking forward to joining them again. Moreover, I am ready to challenge my colleagues in badminton matches! There is a nice hall to practice at KI campus”.
Well good luck and thank you, Jalal. Once again welcome to AIMES!
